Previously, Howard held senior institutional equity sales roles focused on the global mining sector, including Head of Equity Sales for EMEA and Japan at Société Générale. Earlier in his career he worked on privatization transactions in Eastern Europe, connecting international investors with emerging market opportunities.
Howard holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University.
25+ years of experience as an equity and commodity research analyst, specializing in mining, chemicals and industrial sectors.
He has held senior research roles at leading financial institutions including UBS, GMP Securities (Europe) and Haitong International, covering global mining and basic materials companies. Matt also served as Head of Research at Westbeck Capital’s Volta Energy Transition Hedge Fund, focusing on supply chains and commodities critical to electrification. He is founder and editor of Battery Materials Review.
Matt holds a BSc (Hons) in Geochemistry from the University of St Andrews and an MSc from Imperial College London.
30+ years of experience in financial markets, specializing in derivatives, proprietary trading and analysis of energy transition commodities, particularly lithium and battery metals.
Rodney began his career in asset management in 1992 and later became a top-ranked derivatives analyst in South Africa. Rodney joined Macquarie Bank, where he led the South African equity derivatives desk from 2009 to 2015, trading and structuring products for institutional investors.
He holds a B.A. in Economics, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Markets in South Africa.
